How to Join

The joining process is simple:

Fill in the quick online form after reading the terms and conditions below.

Please note: Your application must be endorsed by a SIBA brewer. If you don’t yet know a SIBA brewer, please send the form with this section blank and we will see if we can find one for you.

When we have received your application and verified the brewer’s endorsement, we will send you a copy of the SIBA Members’ Charter to sign and an invoice for you to pay for your first year’s membership.  Once we have received a signed charter and payment, we will send out the membership pack, including your plaque.

Membership subscriptions

Pubs wanting to be part of the SIBA Locals scheme will be charged a £55 (ex-VAT) membership subscription, payable annually on 1st October. For this, pubs receive all the benefits listed here.

We offer discounted rates to pubs with links to SIBA member brewers, as follows (all prices ex-VAT):

Managed pubs within a member brewer’s estate
£35 per pub joining fee
£20 per annum subscription from Year 2 onwards (payable from October 2012)

Tenanted pubs within a member brewer’s estate
£35 per pub joining fee
£55 per annum subscription from Year 2 onwards (payable from October 2012)

SIBA Direct Delivery Scheme (DDS) customers: subject to eligibility criteria, SIBA will sponsor the first year’s membership fee for DDS customers.  If you are a DDS pub and would like to join SIBA Locals, please contact your pub company in the first instance.

Terms and conditions of membership
Membership of the SIBA Locals scheme is open to any licensee who regularly stocks beer supplied by a SIBA brewer member.
Membership shall be dependent upon the payment of an annual fee that shall be set, and reviewed, by SIBA Council.
Membership is conferred upon the licensee, not the pub.
Applicants must be holders of a Personal Licence.
Membership shall be indicated by possession of a plaque, which the licensee should display on his premises.
All members of SIBA – brewing, supplier and pub – must read and agree to the principles of the Society
as set out in the Members’ Charter.
SIBA Council reserves the right to withdraw membership from any pub, should it be demonstrated that no SIBA member’s beers have been sold for a period of six months, or that the standard of beers may be said to be damaging to SIBA’s reputation.
The SIBA Locals plaque remains the property of SIBA and we reserve the right to reclaim it from licensees whose membership of the SIBA Locals scheme has lapsed.
SIBA Council shall have the right to amend and revise these terms at any time without notice.
