Brew Pub Bar Manager – Job Description
Location:
Stratford International Brew House Ltd (SIB Ltd), T/A Tap East, 7 International Square, Montfichet Road, London, E20 1EE.
This Reports to:
Company Directors; Mike Hill & Richard Dinwoodie
HR: Gina Baines HR and Compliance Consultant.
About Us:
Tap East is a vibrant, community-focused brew pub located in the heart of Westfield Shopping Centre. We are passionate about crafting exceptional beers and providing a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. You will be responsible for all operational and commercial aspect of running Tap East. They will need to work jointly with the Head Brewer and will be jointly responsible for future developments of Tap East’s business. You will be expected to plan, direct and oversee all bar operations including managing staff, ensuring product and service standards are met and implementing and maintaining procedures for maximum operating efficiency. You will need to be self-motivated and energetic with a strong vision for the business and good leadership skills The hours are usually at least 40 hours a week however this can increase due to promotions, holidays and busy periods
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing bar staff.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Guest Experience:
Ensure exceptional customer service, exceeding guest expectations in every interaction.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
Maintain a clean and inviting bar environment.
Operations Management:
Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.
Monitor and analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Beer Knowledge:
Possess a deep understanding of beer styles, brewing techniques, and our own craft beers.
Educate staff and guests on our beer offerings and craft beer culture.
Marketing:
Social Media planning to ensure that social media is used to its best effect. I.e. Twitter, Facebook and Website or any other social media facility.
Visual Marketing for events and promotions.
Assist with other company related events
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a bar management role, preferably in a craft beer setting.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
Knowledge of liquor licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
Passion for craft beer and a desire to contribute to a growing brewery.
