Loose Cannon Brewery are looking for a dedicated individual to join our production team. The successful candidate must have previous experience within a brewery and a passion for craft beer.
Reporting directly to the Head Brewer, day to day responsibilities include
- Wort production and fermentation management through to completed product
- Yeast management including cropping, pitching & cell counts
- Packaging into cask, keg and preparing beer for delivery to our bottlers
- Ensuring accurate and detailed records are maintained
- Adhering to health and safety, HACCP and food safety procedures
- Ensuring brewhouse maintained & cleaned to highest standard
- Recipe development and pilot brews
- Operating counterbalance forklift
- Supporting with ad-hoc duties and responsibilities where necessary
We’re ideally looking for someone who has
- At least two years commercial brewing experience
- Relevant qualifications, minimum requirement General Certificate in Brewing
- Clean driving license
- Forklift experience, ideally with a current licence
The job is based on a 45-hour week with normal working hours of 8am to 5pm Monday- Friday, however, a degree of flexibility is required with occasional weekend working, later finishes etc. Additional hours worked are paid as overtime.
