Job Overview
As part of the brewing team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations in the brewery, lab & warehouse. This is a diverse role that covers the entire brewing process from end-to-end.
Key Duties
- Wort production.
- Raw material receipt, preparation, and stock control.
- Cellaring duties including yeast management, dry hopping, filtration, and clarification.
- Transfers & Tanker Loading/Unloading.
- Cask & Keg Cleaning & Filling.
- Cleaning – including CIPs and adherence to hygiene and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Lab work – Beer quality monitoring, including sensory analysis.
- Documentation and record keeping.
Additional Tasks
- FLT operation
- Health, Safety & Environmental – H&S / Fire Safety / First Aid / HACCP / IOSH / COSHH
- Weekend rota for essential checks
- Stock counting & warehouse work – assisting with adherence to FIFO stock control.
Competencies Required (Training will be provided)
- At least 1-year previous experience in Brewing or Distilling desired
- BSc/MSc/Diploma/Certificate in Brewing & Distilling or Engineering preferred
- Experience of working in lab environment beneficial
- H&S / Fire Safety / First Aid / HACCP / IOSH / COSHH training beneficial
- Experience with maintenance engineering or packaging lines beneficial
- IT skills including MS Word & Excel
- Food production knowledge beneficial
- Full driving licence
