Business Development Manager
At Signature Brew we make award-winning beer in our North East London HQ, a state-of-the-art brewery by day, legendary live music venue by night.
We formed back in 2011 during the craft beer revolution, and since then we’ve collaborated with more musicians than any other brewery on the planet.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to help create a step change in our presence within the On-Trade by making Signature Brew Beers available in even more great outlets.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager will be tasked with winning great new stockists for our beers with a focus on the independent free trade, whilst delivering the best customer service, and supporting all customers to help grow Signature Brew sales.
How:
- Work collaboratively with the National Sales Manager to build a focused new business target list that helps us execute our brand equity led strategy in and outside London
- Unlock new draught distribution from your target list, taking ownership of every step of the process from prospecting new accounts, to pitching the beer, negotiating commercials and ultimately closing the new listing
- Develop a strong network within our partner wholesalers, work collaboratively with their sales teams to unlock business with their customers and build industry leading relationships with our RTMs.
- Create a network of great relationships across multiple routes to market, enabling you to have your finger on the pulse of the London on trade.
- Onboard all new customers effectively and ensure they are operationally sound within 12 weeks of install in order to pass over to an Account Manager.
- Grow our presence, ROS and influence in our existing accounts; building sustainable business, best in class relationships where we meet the customers needs as well as our own
- Utilise the support of the National Sales Manager and the marketing team to build brand awareness and drive ROS in your key accounts and groups, e.g. group wide incentives, site activation events.
- Full ownership of delivery of the on-trade new business target across your patch, ensuring we’re growing both invoiced sales and ROS month on month across your account base.
About You:
- Practical experience in a business development role proactively reaching out to new customers, and selling Beer, Wine or Spirits in to the On Trade.
- Strong selling and negotiating skills, well-honed from your previous experience selling to the On Trade
- Relationship building expertise.
- Commerciality, having previously demonstrated a value proposition to customers.
- First class, well-developed communication and people skills; highly effective on an interpersonal level.
- Strong track record of delivering incredible and tangible sales results from new business development.
- A real sense of urgency in making things happen and doing them well.
- Excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
- Solid time management skills with the ability to plan ahead and manage multiple tasks.
- Work independently, and also within a team, to accomplish goals.
- A passion for great beer and awesome music.
This job is predominantly field based but will also require visits to head office when needed.
