Trade Sales Executive Company: Dorking Brewery Location: Hybrid (Home-based & Dorking Brewery, Surrey) Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (Flexible for the right candidate) Salary: £26k – £30k pro-rata + Commission About Us At Dorking Brewery, we are passionate about brewing exceptional, innovative, and traditional beers in the heart of Surrey. From our core range to our seasonal specials, we take pride in every pint we produce. We are a small but mighty team looking for a driven voice to help us get our beer into more glasses across the UK. The Role We are looking for a tenacious and charismatic Trade Sales Executive to join our commercial team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our trade customers. You will manage existing relationships with pubs, bars, bottle shops, and wholesalers, while actively seeking out new business opportunities. This is primarily a telesales and account management role. You don’t need to be on the road every day, but you do need to be on the phone, building rapport and closing sales. This role is hybrid: You will have the flexibility to work from home, but you must be within commutable distance of Dorking to attend team meetings, tastings, and office days as required. Key Responsibilities Account Management: Manage a designated list of existing trade accounts, making regular outbound calls to take orders, build relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction. New Business Development: Identify and prospect new trade customers (pubs, bars, taprooms, and retail) to increase our distribution footprint. Upselling: Introduce customers to our seasonal specials, limited releases, and wider product range. CRM Management: Keep the CRM system up to date with customer details, call logs, and sales notes. Customer Service: Act as the first point of resolve for any customer queries or delivery issues. Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Dorking Brewery with passion and knowledge, staying up to date with industry trends and competitor activity. About You We are looking for someone who “speaks beer.” You understand the difference between a hazy IPA and a traditional Best Bitter, and you know how to talk to landlords and bar managers on their level. Essential Requirements: Industry Experience: Previous experience selling beer to the on-trade/off-trade is strongly preferred. We need someone who can hit the ground running with an understanding of the market. Sales Ability: A proven track record in telesales, account management, or business development. You must be comfortable making outbound calls and working to targets. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You are friendly, persuasive, and professional. Location: You must live within a commutable distance of Dorking, Surrey. Tech Savvy: Proficient in using CRM systems, email, and Excel. Desirable: Existing contacts within the Surrey/London pub and bar scene. WSET or Cicerone qualifications (or just a genuine beer geek!).
