Packaging Supervisor
PACKAGING SUPERVISOR
This position is for someone who has the desire to excel and to be part of a hard-working team. We seek someone who is, ideally, experienced in the brewing/production industries, quality focussed, understanding of the need to at times be flexible and who can also enjoy their work and not be afraid to contribute ideas on how things can be improved.
Key Responsibilities
· To supervise, direct and organise kegging, bottling and canning staff ensuring all health and safety rules are followed.
· To ensure bottling and canning staff are strictly following procedures.
· To check paperwork and ensure all instructed checks are being carried out.
· To carry out packaging hall duties as required ensuring the line is constantly running as continuous and efficiently as possible.
· To ensure the bottling hall and packaging areas are kept tidy and that cleaning duties are being followed.
· To carry out all product checks as instructed.
· To ensure down time is used effectively.
· To direct cleaning and maintenance of machines.
· To carry out and ensure machine changeovers are carried out as quickly and efficiently as possible.
· To prepare all required materials for the next day’s production.
· To follow and carry out daily start up and shutdown duties as required.
· To assist with stock taking and ordering and some office duties as instructed.
