Production Brewer at Dorking Brewery Location: Capel, Dorking, Surrey Salary: £29,000 – £31,000 per annum.
Join our award-winning team at Dorking Brewery! Dorking Brewery, an independent brewery nestled in the Surrey Hills, is seeking a passionate and experienced Brewer to join our dedicated team. Known for our commitment to modern-style beers alongside traditional favourites. Our brewers, all qualified by the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, craft over 30,000 pints a week, and we’re looking for a skilled individual to contribute to our continued success and growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a brewer with proven commercial experience to work with our 30bbl brewing kit and be involved in all aspects of the brewing process, from raw materials to final product.
Key Responsibilities:
Wort production and all brewhouse operations on our 30bbl kit.
Cellar management, including fermentation monitoring, yeast handling, and quality control.
Racking of beer into casks and kegs.
Assisting with packaging operations for our 440ml cans. Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the brewery.
Some delivery driving of cask, keg, and canned products to our valued customers. Adherence to all health and safety regulations.
Contributing to new recipe development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Proven commercial brewing experience is essential.
A General Certificate in Brewing (or equivalent qualification) is highly preferable.
A passion for brewing and a dedication to producing high-quality beer.
Strong understanding of brewing science, cellar practices, and quality control.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling.
A full UK driving licence is required.
Applicants must be over 25 years of age for vehicle insurance purposes.
