Pubs Code Adjudicator Review
Submit views to the review of the Pubs Code Adjudicator
The Small Business Minister Kelly Tolhurst has launched the first statutory review of the Pubs Code (the Code) and the Pubs Code Adjudicator (PCA) in Parliament.
Access to market remains a key issue for SIBA members and this review represents an opportunity for brewers to have their say.
The review period will run for a 12 week period, starting on 30 April until Monday 22 July 2019, and SIBA Members have been invited to submit views on the operation of the Pubs Code and the effectiveness of the PCA.
To view the review documentation or submit your views visit: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/pubs-code-and-pubs-code-adjudicator-statutory-review.
The Terms of Reference which set out the scope of the review can be viewed by clicking here.
SIBA will be submitting a full response, including making recommendations on behalf of brewers on:
- The ‘significant price’ trigger
- Wider movements in the industry impacting on brewers and publicans, like technical line charges
