The Treasury have launched a questionnaire to all brewers, reviewing SBR.
SIBA, the Society of Independent Brewers, was established in 1980 to represent the interests of the growing number of independent breweries in Britain.
An ‘Assured Independent British Craft Brewer’ is a brewery which has agreed to abide by SIBA’s Food Safety & Quality standard – meaning you get a beer of the highest quality, crafted with the utmost care.
SIBA Regional Meetings are an excellent way to network with fellow brewers and suppliers, get an update on Regional activity including the beer awards and where they’ll be held, as well as hear from the SIBA Senior Management Team on the current progress of SIBA’s Strategic plan and other national activity.
SIBA Independent Beer Awards take place across the UK, with winners from these competitions going forward to fight it out at the National competition, which usually takes place at BeerX in March.
The SIBA Independent Beer Awards have seperate cask, keg and smallpack (bottle & can) competitions, across a range of style categories, and whilst you can only enter your beers into the awards in your region you are able to a judge in a different SIBA Region, so drop email@example.com a line if you’d like to get involved.
This section lists beer industry events taking place throughout the year – these may or may not be events which SIBA themselves are attending and are provided for informational purposes only. If your brewery is involved in a large event you believe should be listed here (in the UK or abroad) then please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
