CFT Unveils Toccalmatto’s New Brewery
CFT, the large process engineering company known in the beer world for bottling and canning technology, have unveiled their first completed brewery since taking on Elio Poloniato, the chief brewery engineer at Velo.
Elio has designed and built over 20 distilleries and 220 breweries in his career, the most famous UK brewery being Thornbridge. He is also a trained brewmaster and has a 10hl (6 UK BBL) brewery on which he brews for his local market at the weekend.
The brewery at Toccalmatto has a semi-automatic 40hl (25 UK BBL) brewhouse that allows the brewers to remain true to their craft roots whilst cutting out the time consuming manual work and helping the brewers to control the consistency and quality of their beer. This bespoke project was completed on a turnkey basis for Toccalmatto with all equipment from malt-in to packaged-beer-out being installed and commissioned by CFT’s highly experienced process installation team.
The next CFT breweries to be completed will be Birrificio del Ducato (turnkey basis with 50hl fully automatic 5 vessel brewhouse), shortly followed by Dust Bowl (turnkey basis with 60hl fully automatic 4 vessels) and Jack’s Abby (turnkey basis with 70hl fully automatic 4 vessels) in the USA.
The focus of CFT brewery systems is to provide systems bespoke to the customer’s need and wants, while optimising the brewing process through an efficiency increase and a consumptions reduction.
