Butcombe teams up with Bristol Rugby
Butcombe, the West Country’s fastest growing Brewery, is proud to announce a new partnership between the Brewery and Bristol Rugby. At the start of the new season in September, Bristol Rugby fans will be able to enjoy home games with a pint of Butcombe Bitter in hand, as the West Country’s favourite beer has recently been installed at the bars of the Memorial Stadium in Bristol.
“It’s great to have a local company like Butcombe supporting Bristol rugby” said Bristol’s new Director of Rugby, Andy Robinson.
Steve Gorvett, Bristol Rugby’s CEO added: “We’re delighted about developing a relationship with Butcombe Brewery. It’s fantastic news that Butcombe Bitter will be on tap at the Memorial Stadium ahead of the club’s 125th commemorative season – our loyal fan base with be thrilled with the news”.
The team at Butcombe are big rugby fans and Butcombe’s National Accounts Manager and Thornbury RFC winger, Ollie Fleming, always enjoys his visits to the club.
Guy Newell, Butcombe’s managing director says: “It’s great to be joining forces with Bristol Rugby Club as they seek to break out of the Championship and back in to the Premiership – we will be supporting them all the way”.
Butcombe Bitter is also becoming the only cask beer pouring at Bristol Rovers home games at the Memorial Stadium and, completing a big summer for Butcombe and Bristol sport, Butcombe Bitter will be on draught at Ashton Gate stadium this season, in anticipation of Bristol Rugby’s arrival at the start of the 2014/15 season.
