Belvoir Brewery turns back clock to celebrate 20th anniversary
Glasses were raised to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Belvoir Brewery, with a special birthday beer brewed to mark the occasion.
The milestone was marked by turning back the clock and repeating events of the brewery’s original launch that took place in the old kitchen at Belvoir Castle.
Invited guests – including shareholders, staff, customers, local CAMRA organisations and suppliers – were invited to attend an anniversary tasting ceremony at the old kitchen where they were treated to the full range of casks beers from the brewery in addition to a special ‘Celebration Day’ beer – a full flavoured smooth chestnut beer based on the very first beer brewed in 1995. Samples of local cheese and pork pie were also available courtesy of Long Clawson Dairy and Brocklebys Pies. The Duke of Rutland was again present to endorse proceedings.
Brewery founder and managing director Colin Brown welcomed guests and gave a short speech thanking all those who had contributed over the years in helping the Old Dalby based brewery become the success it is today.
