Dartmoor Brewery Hits the "Marque"
Leading craft ale producer Dartmoor Brewery is the first Devon brewer to become a corporate member of Cask Marque, the prestigious national award scheme promoting top-quality beer.
The brewery will be using the commercial advantages of its new Cask Marque membership to sponsor their permanent beer stockists towards their own Cask Marque awards, and is aiming to be one of a growing number of brewers achieving the industry-recognised “SALSA” accreditation for the brewery, and the Distributor Charter for their supply-chain management.
Richard Smith, Managing Director at Dartmoor Brewery, commented: “As the first brewery in Devon to champion Cask Marque, we have the opportunity to really drive home our message
about quality and consistency in craft ale production. In addition, our aim for accreditation under the ‘SALSA’ scheme will enable us to distribute our excellent ales to the many trade buyers who now insist on this standard.”
Cask Marque director Paul Nunny commented: “We are delighted to have Dartmoor Brewery as a corporate member of Cask Marque, and look forward to working with them to increase their trade, and to further spread the quality message in the craft ale sector.”
Tolchards, an independent distributor of drinks throughout the South of England, have expressed their enthusiasm for the growing support they receive from Dartmoor Brewery: “The partnership between Tolchards and Dartmoor Brewery, both champions of beer quality, will benefit our customers and sales of their renowned Jail Ale” commented Cheryl Gorny, Procurement Manager at Tolchards.
