Derby Brewing Launches 10th Anniversary Collection
This year represents a special year for Derby Brewing Co, our 10th anniversary. It was back in September 2004 the first mash went in at the Nottingham Road brewery and it’s been a crazy 10 years since. Over the time Derby’s original craft brewer have picked up numerous regional and national awards and now have an award winning beer across every beer style. In addition to selling the beers across the country the beers have also been listed with major retailers ASDA, Tesco, COOP, Booths & Majestic.
There has also been the opening of three award winning pubs in and around Derby, The newly refurbished Tap Derwent Street, The Greyhound on Friar Gate, The Queens Head in Little Eaton with The Kedleston Hotel set to follow. This has been particularly important in enabling the showcasing of the full range of beers and of course to follow the beer through from brewing, all the way into the final customer’s hand.
This has resulted in the creation of over 60 jobs, with more to follow shortly, for a business that was started up as a retirement hobby, by the founder of this family run business the head brewer Trevor Harris.
It’s already been a great start to the anniversary, Derby Brewing Co’s bar was drunk dry at the CAMRA National Winter Festival, held at the Round House earlier this year. To continue the celebrations a special anniversary collection of beers will be produced. The range will include 12 beers, one each month which will combine new beers, offering something a little different and some favourites of the past will return. The new beers are part of our craft range using all our experience and using fantastic ingredients from all over the world to produce an exciting range of world influenced beers brewed the Derby Brewing way. Customers will also have the chance to vote for two of our old favourites from a short list of beers, so everyone can have their say into what goes into our anniversary collection.
