John Hampden’s Bottled Ale Wins Top Award
One of the stalwarts of The Chiltern Brewery’s bottled beer range, John Hampden’s Ale 4.8% vol., has won a bronze medal in the SIBA Midlands Beer Competition 2013 – in the Regional Bottled Bitters (up to and including 4.9%) category.
“The intense thrill of winning an award for one of your products never lessens” said Head Brewer Tom Jenkinson when told the news, “especially from such a highly respected organization in the beer world and when there is such quality competition.”
Described by the Brewery as an ‘Earl Amongst Ales’, John Hampden’s bottled bitter is a beautifully balanced single varietal, golden harvest ale with an impeccable pedigree. Premium quality malt results in a beer of the finest classical style.
