British Guild of Beer Writers Awards Dinner 2019: SIBA Beer List revealed

The Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) will be bringing award-winning independent craft beers to this year’s British Guild of Beer Writers Annual Awards Dinner 2019 as part of their sponsorship and support of the event.

SIBA, who sponsor the ‘Brewer of the Year’ award, will be bringing their beer bar to the awards and have today released the beers selected to feature – all from their ‘Taste of Champions’ range, which features only SIBA Independent Beer Awards National Winners.

Being served on the bar will be Red Willow ‘Wreckless’ American Pale Ale (4.8%), Hammerton ‘Crunch’ Peanut Butter Milk Stout (5.4%), Hawkshead ‘Solar Sour’ Berliner Weisse (3.3%), Roosters ‘Yankee’ Pale Ale (4.3%), Otter ‘Tarka Four’ Lager (4.0%), and Salopian ‘Auric’ Session IPA (4.0%).

A representative from each of the breweries pouring on the SIBA Independent Craft Brewers Bar will be present at the event so if you’re interested in stocking any of the beers on offer head over to the SIBA bar, or ask a member of the team.

Neil Walker, SIBA Head of Comms & Marketing, says he’s proud to be pouring some of the UK’s best beers at these prestigious awards,

“SIBA are delighted to be partnering with the British Guild of Beer Writers’ Annual Awards & Dinner. As longtime supporters of the Guild we will this year be sponsoring the Brewer of the Year Award, as well as serving our members beers from the independent craft brewers bar during the Awards reception. So please come over and join us for a celebratory beer with one of our 2019 champion brewers.”

Pete Brown, Beer Author and Chairman of the British Guild of Beer Writers, welcomed SIBA on board as Award partners,

“I’m delighted to have SIBA partnering with us on our annual awards dinner. It shows what trade associations can do: getting exposure for brewers who lack the budgets to support events like this individually but can have an impact collectively. The Guild Awards Dinner is one of the best nights in the industry calendar – SIBA’s members will get a lot out of it, and so will members of the Guild.”

SIBA represent around 750 independent craft brewers across the UK and are the voice of British independent brewing. With their ‘Assured Independent British Craft Brewer’ seal, SIBA champion quality, flavoursome beers from independent craft brewers, as well as protect the businesses of thousands of breweries across the UK through Government lobbying and campaigning in Parliament.
