Brewer
RedWillow Brewery, based in Macclesfield Cheshire, produces a range of beer styles from classic cask ales, soft and hazy IPA’s to lagers which are properly lagered. In 2022 we upgraded from our previous 12 Barrel brew house to a 3 vessel 30HL system, capable of 2 turns per day. We have 20 DPVs allowing us to take our time with beers and only packaging when they are ready.
The Role
We are looking for a production brewer to join our team, ensuring our beers are consistently brewed and packaged to the highest standards. You will be involved in all aspects of brewing, packaging and stock control. This is a hands-on roll that requires technical knowledge with strong problem-solving skills and a good attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Wort production on our 30HL 3 vessel system
- Fermentation monitoring and management
- Quality Control Checks
- Cleaning, sanitising of brewery and packaging equipment
- Packaging into Cask, Keg and Can (Microcan CL5)
- Maintaining accurate brewing and packaging records
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized brewing environment
Skills Required
- Commercial brewing and packaging experience (at least 1 year)
- Good understanding of brewery equipment and maintenance
- Knowledge of Brewery Management Systems
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads
- Full Driving License
- Forklift License
