Chief Brewer – Join Our Team!
We’re looking for a passionate, skilled Chief Brewer to take the reins of our brewhouse and help drive the next chapter of our brewery’s growth. If you’re hands-on, detail-focused, and thrive on both tradition and innovation, this role could be the perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead production from wort production to cask, keg, and bottle
- Oversee CIP of brewhouse, packaging lines, and fermentation vessels
- Maintain high standards of organisation, cleanliness, and quality across the brewery and cold store
- Stay ahead of the production schedule to keep our shelves (and our customers!) stocked
- Work closely with the Brewery Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Follow SOPs, HACCP, and other quality standards rigorously
- Champion a proactive approach to health & safety for yourself and the team
- Keep production records sharp and up to date with BREWW
What We’re Looking For
- Physically capable of safely lifting/moving full casks, kegs, and grain sacks
- Clear and confident communicator (written & verbal)
- Tech-savvy: BREWW, spreadsheets, general computer skills
- At least 3 years commercial brewing experience
Bonus points if you have:
- Formal brewing qualifications (CIBD, Brewlab, Herriot Watt, etc.)
- Food hygiene certificate
- Experience working with SALSA or equivalent accreditation
