Following receipt of significant inward investment and the subsequent acquisition and integration of Daleside Brewery, Rooster’s Brewing Co. has ambitious targets for future sales growth. We’re looking for a Sales Director to lead the sales teams of both businesses across both On and Off trade routes to market.
This is a new, Board level appointment and the successful applicant will work closely with our Operations Director to jointly lead the business day to day, with the possibility that this could lead to their appointment as Joint Managing Director in due course. There is also potential for a future equity stake for the successful candidate.
You will be a beer-loving sales professional with proven brewing industry experience and a deep understanding of the UK beer market. You will have excellent On trade contacts across the category and be comfortable selling within the pub environment. You’ll also have a good understanding of all Off trade routes to market in order to liaise with our external representatives.
Possessing a disciplined approach to sales management, you will lead from the front, being prepared to sell as well as manage. Critically, you will have outstanding inter-personal and people management skills – able to manage, motivate and develop our existing sales team. You’ll also possess an outgoing, positive personality with the ability to adapt to varied customer styles.
Ideally, you will also be numerate, have a good understanding of budgets and possess a disciplined, analytical approach to the role as well as being IT literate.
You’ll also need to reside within commutable distance of Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
