Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 DOE + bonus
Location: North West (remote with regular field-based travel)

Crooked River is an award-winning independent brewery with a growing reputation for quality beer across both cask and craft formats. With several of our beers recognised at industry competitions, we’re now at an exciting stage of growth and are looking for a Sales Lead to help take the business further.
While this role has a strong focus on developing our cask beer sales — an area with significant untapped potential — it is very much a multi-channel sales position, encompassing craft keg, small pack and seasonal releases alongside cask.
The Role
Working closely with the Managing Directors and Operations team, you’ll take ownership of sales across a defined territory and beyond. Your remit will include strengthening our cask presence, growing craft beer distribution, and ensuring Crooked River is represented in the right venues, with the right beers.
This role suits someone who understands the nuances of the brewing industry, enjoys relationship-led selling, and wants the autonomy to shape how a sales territory develops.
Key Responsibilities

Drive growth across both cask and craft beer sales, with a particular emphasis on strengthening our cask footprint

Develop and protect relationships with existing core customers

Identify and convert new trade accounts locally and out of county

Use sales data and market insight to spot opportunities, gaps and trends

Implement a targeted, commercially sound sales strategy focused on sustainable growth

Support customers with product knowledge, staff training and range development

Represent the brewery and our award-winning beers at events, festivals, tastings and trade activity

Work with senior management to agree sales targets, forecasts and growth plans

Manage orders and customer accounts using Breww and cellar management systems

Attend regular performance and strategy meetings with the wider team
About You

Minimum 2 years’ sales experience within the brewing, beer or wider drinks industry

Proven track record of growing accounts and hitting or exceeding targets

Strong understanding of cask beer, with experience selling craft beer also highly desirable

Confident communicator and negotiator with a relationship-first mindset

Commercially aware and comfortable analysing sales data

Self-motivated, organised and able to manage your own time effectively

Approachable, professional and confident representing a brewery and its products

Genuine passion for beer, styles and the wider industry

Full, clean UK driving licence
