Location: Hybrid – Home-based & brewery site – London Central
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (Flexible for the right candidate)
Salary: £26k – £30k depending on experience + Commission
About Southwark Brewing Compan:, we are passionate about brewing fantastic traditional and modern beers in the heart of London. We have an exceptional core range of largely cask ales and regularly brew seasonal specials, including our popular monthly Single Hop series. Our Beers are well known and have an excellent reputation, with many consumers drinking at our popular taproom on the Bermondsey Beer Mile.
We are a small but focussed team looking for someone to manage our existing customers and drive new business.
The Role We are looking for outgoing Trade Account manager. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our trade customers. You will manage existing relationships with our on-trade customers, while actively seeking out new business opportunities.
You will have the flexibility to work from home, but you must be within commutable distance of Southwark, central London to attend team meetings, tastings, and office days as required. You will manage a designated list of existing trade accounts, making regular outbound calls to take orders, build relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will also need to identify and prospect new trade customers (e.g. pubs, bars) to increase our distribution footprint. We have an excellent database of existing and prospect customers, and you will need to keep the CRM system up to date with customer details, call logs, and sales notes.
As well as sales you will act as the first point of resolve for any customer queries or delivery issues. You will need to be able to talk about our beers with passion and knowledge, staying up to date with industry trends and competitor activity. A genuine interest in beer and pubs is essential.
Ideally you will have industry experience, selling beer to the on-trade/off-trade is strongly preferred. You should be able to demonstrate a proven track record in telesales, account management, or business development. You must be comfortable making outbound calls and working to targets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. You should be friendly, persuasive, and professional. You will need some technical ability, particularly writing emails and Microsoft Excel. Some social media knowledge is a bonus.
